After the end of the rides there was a driver waiting for us with cool, wet, disposable washcloths which were so refreshing to clean your face and hands. The sand is fine especially on the soft dunes and will get stuck on you. Wear closed toe and heel sneakers and long pants if you can. I’m 6 feet tall so there is a good amount of leg room in the buggies. My 6 year old was pumped after she realized it was just the half way point. At the half way point, there are guys waiting with cold water, you get to stretch your legs and get a beautiful view. There are no break lights on the buggies so keep space to avoid crashes. The buggies have tall flags to help you follow the tracks. I was so nervous driving the first few turns and down the hills but Riggs is a pro with staying in front of us for spacing but always checking for the group. My 6 year old never signaled for me to stop or slow down. The buggies do not have power steering and are rear wheel drive if you aren’t used to it, take your time, it will be fine and a ton of fun. When we got to the desert our guide Riggs went over all the safety procedures, we were strapped in and ready to go. When you get to the location you finish paperwork, get fitted for helmets and goggles, and you get a locker to safely store your items. The transportation to and from was simple and enjoyable. Around 630 am the driver called to let us know what time we were being picked up. It was absolutely amazing! We chose the first time of the day and it was perfect. My group of 3 did the Family Fun Romp on 6/14 with Riggs.
